Musée Jacquemart-André

6 мая 2026

In the heart of Paris is a museum whose collection is second in importance only to the famous Louvre.

The Musée Jacquemart-André is an art treasure trove located in the heart of Paris, in the prestigious 8th arrondissement.

Opened in 1913, the museum is not just a collection of masterpieces, but an embodiment of the passion and vision of its founders — the spouses Édouard André and Nélie Jacquemart.

History and Collection

The mansion was built at the end of the 19th century by commission of Édouard André, heir to a wealthy Protestant family, and his wife Nélie Jacquemart, a talented painter. Architect Henri Parent created the building in the Second Empire style.

- Sandro Botticelli, "Madonna and Child"

- Paolo Uccello, "St. George Slaying the Dragon"

Dutch Golden Age Painting:

Interiors and Atmosphere

The museum building itself is a work of art. Luxurious interiors allow visitors to feel like guests in the very house of the collectors themselves.

The grand staircase, decorated with marble and gilding, leads to halls where paintings are displayed in historical settings as close as possible to the original.
